The next step is to open a tested source. "Use what I have" stays on the recipes page. Use tested recipes only. Canning links only to the National Center for Home Food Preservation and the USDA canning guide. Check your altitude. Low-acid food needs a pressure canner. Pickled eggs stay in the fridge. The helper will not give untested canning steps. Water glassing, lard sealing, and open-kettle canning are marked "History only," with no how-to.
A seller recipe shows that state's cottage food rule. Meat at home: 145°F plus 3 minutes rest, 160°F ground, 165°F poultry. Cured or smoked meat needs an inspected plant or an approved shop plan. Custom-exempt meat is for the owner's household only. Cottage food does not cover meat. A hog day is a class or an event only, and each family owns its animal first. Cook temps are a guide, not a promise. Lead-leaching imported cookware is blocked for sale, donation, and refurbishing. FDA alerts.
